The name of the blog site is ISI Ministry. The ISI stands for Iron Sharpening Iron which is from a verse of scripture in Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” This verse implies that a deeper understanding of the Word of God can be the result of our study of the Bible if the study is done with other believers. We receive a blessing in the preparation of these devotions and it is our prayer that you, too, will be blessed.

DAILY WALK AS A CHILD OF GOD Part 4
8 6 12 Daily Walk as a Child of God Part 4 DON’T FORGET TO PRAY!
Yesterday is in the past. Today is the present. It’s in the present that we write our past. Tomorrow how do you want your past to reflect your walk of faith? Did you walk as a child of God?
Your Daily Walk as a Child of God should be based on:
1. “The right kind of belief in Jesus Christ.”
2. “Walking in the newness of life. You are a “new creation” forget the past, the “old you” is dead.”
3. “A continual process of examining yourself in light of your faith position in Christ.”
4. Your continual walk in Christ: you should always seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Scripture: Matt 6:30-33 (NIV) If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
NOTE: As a believer what characterizes your walk of faith? What are you striving for, seeking after? Ask yourself; examine yourself as you start this devotional. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak clearly to your heart.
One noticeable difference in the life of a believer, as compared to a non-believer, is what they see as important in life. A believer seeks after right standing with Christ; knowing Him more intimately; trying to be obedient to the scriptures in their daily walk. Non-believers seek to be popular with the world; to gain earthly goods; to follow after their own desires. The worldly mind seeks those things that are temporary in nature, things that will pass away. The believer seeks those things that are eternal in nature for they know these are the only things that will last forever. They seek as a first priority the kingdom of God and God’s righteousness. While there are many things in our worldly existence that are important to us, things such as food, clothing, housing, jobs, good health, education, families, friends and enjoying the pleasurable opportunities available to us, they pale in significance when compared to our real needs, those things which have eternal value. First and foremost on the list would be our hearts desire to please God and honor Him with our life.
As a disciple of Christ we are to continually seek God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness through our obedience to His Word. Seeking is an on-going process and a visible part of a believer’s spiritual walk of faith. Their earthly desires, the desires of their flesh, must never take precedence over what God intends to do in their lives. For God’s kingdom to be expanded, the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit will bring many to faith. Believers are to live their lives in submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, willing follow the leading of the Holy Spirit as they seek God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness. We must be sure we walk our talk.
Word from the Lord: “Beloved, planning for tomorrow is time well spent; worrying about tomorrow is time wasted. I know sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. Know this, I love you and I know you. I know everything you need for every day that you live. Trust me. I will be your Jehovah Jireh, the Lord your Provider.”
Did the Lord speak to you today? Why not write it down and claim it for His Glory.
Prayer: What do you need to pray to the Lord today? Listen to your heart. He loves you!
